Alexander Tippett

Alexander Tippett is a Ph.D. student in Political Science at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on international security, with an emphasis on the political economy of security and bureaucratic politics. He is also interested in the politics of climate change and energy transitions.
Prior to enrolling at the University of Chicago, Alexander worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Council on Foreign Relations. He is one of the authors of The Peaceful Transfer of Power: An Oral History of America’s Presidential Transitions.
