Denis Tchaouchev is a Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University. He researches the political economy of conflict in historical perspective. His dissertation studies the effect of technological change on the frequency of warfare and the relationship between warfare and popular demands for redistribution. Tchaouchev holds a master's degree in computational and mathematical engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in computer science and political science from Columbia University.
