Michael Benjamin Cerny

Michael Cerny is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Government at Harvard University. His research examines public opinion and foreign policy, with a particular focus on U.S.-China relations. He is an affiliate of Harvard’s Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS) and the Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis (CCA). Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, Michael was a Program Associate at The Carter Center, where he conducted research and programming for the Center’s China Focus initiative. He received an M.Phil. in Politics (Comparative Government) with Distinction from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in Political Science and Chinese Studies from Emory University.
