Pierre Dreuzy

Pierre de Dreuzy is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Columbia University, where he researches international security and political economy. His dissertation examines the politics of technology export controls in the context of U.S.–China competition. More broadly, he is interested in how states use economic tools to pursue security goals, and how technological interdependence shapes power in international politics.
Before beginning his Ph.D., Pierre worked at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Brussels and the NATO Defense College in Rome, where he researched the war in Ukraine, Russian nuclear coercion, emerging technologies, and NATO defense policy, among other issues. He holds an M.A. in International Relations, with honors, from the University of Chicago and a Joint Honours B.A. in Political Science and History from McGill University.
