How to Apply
Undergraduate Fellows Program
The O'Brien Notre Dame International Secuirty Center (ONDISC) Fellows Program is a competitive program for Notre Dame students interested in pursuing advanced study in international security.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and insterested students are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
Eligibility
The Undergraduate Fellows Program is designed for political science majors and other interested Notre Dame students who are able to complete all program requirements, including a two-semester thesis.
Many Fellows Program courses also count toward the Political Science major.
Before applying, students should review the requirements.
GPA Requirement
Applicants are generally expected to meet Notre Dame's current minimum GPA for cum laude honors, currently 3.86.
We recognize that GPAs may improve over time and that students may encounter academic challenges. Applicants whose GPA is below the cum laude threshold may include an additional paragraph in their statement of interest explaining their academic record and why they expect their GPA to improve.
Applicants must submit a University of Notre Dame transcript and therefore must have completed at least one semester at Notre Dame before applying.

International Security Studies Minor
The International Security Studies Minor provides Notre Dame students with an interdisciplinary foundation in international security and is open to students in any program of study.
There is no GPA requirement to enroll in the minor.
Before Enrolling
Students should review the requirements to ensure that the minor fits their academic plans.
Students may also contact the International Security Studies Co-Directors, Professors Dan Lindley and Ian Johnson, with questions about the program.
How to Add the Minor
Students who are ready to enroll should meet with their academic advisor and request a curriculum change eForm for the International Security Studies (ISS-POLS) Minor.
